The Maharashtra Public Service Commission is an apex body conducting recruitments and appointments for the civil services under varied departments of the State Government. There are 11 vacancies for the posts of Assistant Commissioner of Labour as mentioned. For the posts, the education eligibility for the candidates is the requirement of a post graduate degree in Labour Welfare, Industrial Relations, and Personnel Management. He/she should also possess experience as a Labour Officer or a Welfare Officer in an industrial/ commercial/ Government establishment. The candidate should also have adequate knowledge of Marathi language. Essential Educational Qualification:

  • The candidate should have a Postgraduate Degree or two years Postgraduate Diploma in labor Welfare, Industrial Relations and Personnel Management as declared by the Government to be equivalent
  • OR the candidate should have a Degree with at least second class in Arts, Science, Commerce, Economics, Law, Agriculture, Statistics or Mathematics with Statistics as a subject or in Social Science or Social Work recognized for the purpose of Maharashtra Welfare Officers Rules.

Required Experience: 

The candidate should possess practical experience of not less than three years as a Labour officer or Welfare Officer in a responsible position in an industrial undertaking or a commercial concern, local authority or in the Government Department, Corporation or Board as established by the Government.

Age Limit:

The maximum age limit is 38 years for Open Candidates and 43 years for reserved candidates as on 1st September 2017.

Application Fee:

The General category candidates will have to pay Rs. 523 and the Reserved category candidates will have to pay Rs. 323 in the form of SBI Challan/ Online Payment/ Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ CSC.
